The IBM Retail User Group has reserved a discounted block of rooms at the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort at the rate of $199. Complimentary in-room high speed internet access for all attendees The hotel is located in Summerlin, NV at the foot of the Spring Mountain Range in northwest Las Vegas. Quiet and dotted with golf courses, Summerlin represents a complete contrast to the bustle of the Las Vegas Strip, though the famous entertainment district and McCarran International Airport are less than a 25-minute drive away. Our group rate is $199 per night, single/double occupancy, plus tax. Group rates are available throughout the conference as well as three days before and three days after, based on availability. The group discount is automatically entered for you. Hotel reservations must be made by April 24, 2009.  After April 24th rooms and rates are subject to availability. Air Lines: McCarran International Airport is served by most US domestic carriers and a wide selection of international airlines. Car Rental Discount: Discount car rentals are available with Hertz.   Transportation to the Hotel: Shuttle Service: The JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort is 17 miles from the McCarran International Airport.  Car rental and taxi services are available there. There is no available shuttle service from the airport. However, the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort does offer shuttle service through their concierge for guests traveling to the airport only. Tickets are $25 one way and can be purchased 24 hours in advance from the front desk or the concierge. The fare for a taxi from the airport to the hotel is usually about $50 one way. Ground Transportation: Taxis are available on the east side of baggage claim, outside door exits 1-4.  Airport personnel are available on the taxi curb to assist passengers. Taxi fare to the hotel is approximately $50. Please note: Most taxis will not accept credit card payments. Hotel Parking: Both self-parking and valet parking is complimentary at the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort. Directions from McCarran Airport Follow Interstate 215 West for approximately 19 miles. Please be aware that there are stoplights on portions of Interstate 215. Take the exit for Charleston Boulevard and turn right. Then turn left at your second light onto Canyon Run Drive. Turn right into the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort at the Spa Tower Entrance. Alternate Directions from McCarran Airport Take Interstate 215 West from the airport and get on Interstate 15 North (Salt Lake). From Interstate 15, get on Expressway 95 North (Reno) and take the Summerlin Parkway West exit. Then take the Rampart Boulevard exit and make a left onto Rampart Boulevard and stay in the right lane. Turn right at your first light onto Canyon Run Drive and then turn right into the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort at the Spa Tower Entrance. You can call Jon an “intuitionist.” He observes people’s patterns and steps inside their heads. He amazes them with information they didn’t even know about themselves. The result is powerful, provocative, thrilling and new. Better still, it’s funny. Jon’s stand-up comedy covers a core of mystery in an uproarious wrapper of fun. Meal Tickets: Meal tickets for the banquet, lunches and other events are available for spouses or others who would like to attend these functions. Tickets can be purchased at the User Group's registration desk. Conference Attire:  Business casual attire is appropriate for all functions. You may also wish to bring a sweater or jacket (meeting rooms are often a little cool). Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be received in writing. A complete refund of registration fees will be issued if received by April 14, 2008. A 50% refund between April 15th and May 15th. No refunds after May 15, however, replacements for registrants may be made at any time without penalty. Reminder: Membership dues and all conference fees must be paid prior to attending the conference. On-Site Activities CONFERENCE CHECK-IN – Upon check in, you will receive your conference materials and identification badge, which is required to be worn at all conference activities. The Registration Desk will be located in the conference center outside the Grand Ballroom and will be staffed in this location throughout the conference. You are able to check in beginning Sunday afternoon at 4:00 pm. We are excited about the upcoming annual conference and look forward to sharing the many opportunities it presents with you.
